 SOLD OUT!!!

Wine Education Weekend ~ Get your Wine PhD in 3 days!
Join Level 3 Sommelier & Wine Educator Anne Kjellgren and The Sisterhood Tribe founder Jennifer Vandersol for an unforgettable weekend!
After this weekend, you will know:
  • The 3 questions to ask yourself when purchasing wine
  • Working knowledge of the 5 sensory wine characteristics and where they come from
  • Old vs New World Styles as well as Cool vs Warm Climates
  • Basic pairing knowledge and food criteria – how it’s cooked, general spices/flavors to consider
  • How to view a wine menu at a restaurant and understand the different restaurant approaches
Arrive early Thursday evening at your luxurious Wrightsville Beach weekend home. The group will start their “studies” with a wine tasting and learning about the five sensory characteristics—dry, Crisp, Oaky, Tannins, and body—and where they originate, followed by a delectably perfect paired dinner.
Friday morning, guests can choose to join yoga, walk or run on the beach.  After a light breakfast, class starts again.  Anne will review the questions and thought process when purchasing wine.  After class, the group will head out for a field trip to a local wine store.  Guests will practice their newly found skills, with Anne’s guidance.  During lunch, we’ll enjoy our new wine picks and our new knowledge.  Free afternoon, then class starts again.  Friday evening, the guests will engage in culinary delights and have a hands-on experience with pairing & culinary shortcuts.
Saturday morning will be another opportunity for guests to yoga, walk or run on the beach.  Mid-morning brunch will be served, and classes will start again!  Anne will guide us through the 2 different types of wine menus you will get at a restaurant and how to approach the list.   Relax in the afternoon, review your studies or take a nap….then the girls are getting dolled up!  We will finish our weekend with our last field trip to a local restaurant with an interesting wine menu and put all of our skills to the test!
Sadly, we will have a light breakfast Sunday morning, check out by 10 a.m., and say our “see you later.” But we will leave with a weekend of laughter, fun, and knowledge that will make you the envy of all of your friends!!
