Wine from Wine.com

For my local wine classes, I occasionally source wines from Wine.com, a trusted resource that provides an impressive selection of bottles from around the world. I appreciate their commitment to quality and diverse range of varietals, making it easy to find the perfect wines to match each class’s unique focus.

Wine Service

ISO Wine Tasting 7 oz. Glass

If this style of wine opener intimidates you, no worries! There is a reason that Sommeliers worldwide prefer the wine key for opening dozens of bottles a night! For me, it took a bit of practice. I’ve never considered myself to have a great deal of upper body strength but I found, like most things, it’s all about the leverage. This model is a luxury version. It has a nice weight and feels great in the hand.

Professional Waiter Corkscrew Wine Key – Set of 3

If you’ve been to one of my classes, you’ve seen me use these. The price is right and it comes with 3 so this was a great buy of wine keys for work. We’ve also bought a few of these for personal use – one in every travel bag – for the lake, the car, the hotel…you get it 🙂

Vacu Vin Wine Saver Pump Stainless Steel

This is a common low-cost method to remove oxygen from your wine bottle to extend the life of your wine and keep its contents fresh.

Private Reserve – Nitrogen System

This is honestly my go-to method for preserving most of my wine. It’s easy, it’s not expensive and the can lasts – even me – several months – and that’s as someone constantly tasting and pairing wines, so I rarely finish a bottle on the first open!

Professional Waiter Corkscrew Wine Key – Set of 3

Coravin System is a sophisticated way to preserve your wine for months after opening. This system has everything – the Coravin, extra cartridges, an aerator, and a set of caps for screwtop wines. Really, everything you could need.

Vacu Vin Wine Saver Stopper Replacements – Set of 6

Don’t like the standard gray stoppers – or need several more to handle a few more bottles? These replacement stoppers are great for an existing wine pump system (see system listed above).

Wine Tasting Glasses

7 oz, Set of 6

I discovered these during my first wine education courses and absolutely fell in love with them. This design was originally created in 1970 for the purpose of capturing a wine’s aromas and characteristics. Every major wine school uses these. The other fabulous benefit is that they take up so much LESS room on the table. You can taste 4-6 wines at a time without taking up so much table (or dishwasher) space. BTW – these are super durable  too!

As a wine educator, I highly recommend thesse Aroma Wine Kit to anyone looking to deepen their wine knowledge and sensory skills. It’s a fantastic tool for both beginners and seasoned wine lovers If you’re serious about refining your palate, this is a must-have resource—it’s the same training aid used by top sommeliers around the world.

This link will take you to a range of kits priced between about $60-400. My sets are most similar to the two $124 sets. Today, I would buy the $200 set with 80 aromas.
